The road from holy matrimony to intense acrimony can take some pretty eerie and violent turns. Love You To Death was a 13-week series, inspired by true crimes that occurred between married couples, hosted by legendary cult filmmaker John Waters. Waters starred as the “Groom Reaper”. He guided viewers through the most bizarre circumstances of marriages that broke down to the point of murder.
Each show profiled a different case with a style that was a mix of entertainment and intrigue. Waters made observations during the telling of each story to highlight these tales of love gone horribly wrong, and rather eerily placed himself in the recreated scenes.
Love You to Death was shot in and around the Greater Toronto area. Writer and producer: Ken Hanes. Production Company: Blueprint Entertainment, in association with Global Television, a division of CanWest MediaWorks Inc., and Court TV in the U.S.
