This 30-minute sketch comedy series featured the collective talents of David Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson. Broadway Video, owned by Lorne Michaels, produced the show in association with the CBC. It was one of the most successful sketch comedy shows on Canadian television because it was irreverent, well written and well produced. The strength of the series was based on such reoccurring characters as Buddy Cole, the Chicken Lady and the man with a cabbage for a head. When the series ended, it was made available on video, was syndicated in the United States, and spawned a feature film called Brain Candy [1996].
