This comedy was rooted in the often turbulent, yet comical family relationships of the Brilliant family. More specifically, the program looked at the daily lives of a middle class family, with a satirical take on the relationship between a mother-in-law and her son-in-law. Thanks to the various situations that emerged from the imagination of Marcel Gamache, the trivial ins and outs of day-to-day life took on shapes and proportions that would captivate and seduce the TV audience. The story revolves around Théo Théoret, the handyman at the Brilliant et fils Company, which specializes in renovations and interior design.
The cast included: Gilles Latulippe (Théo Théoret, the Brilliant et fils handyman), Françoise Lemieux (Claire Théoret), Béatrice Picard (Régine Brilliant), Gaston Lepage (Anatole Brilliant), Alpha Boucher (Léon Brilliant), Francine Morand (Colombe Brilliant), Marc Legault (Noël Brilliant) and Claude Michaud (Eugène Gamache).
François Côté, Fernand Gagnon, Roger Legault and Pierre Ste-Marie directed the 101 episodes of this series, which aired from 1979 to 1982.
