Aired Monday afternoons during the summer of 1968.
For 13 weeks during the summer of 1968, musician Stu Davis and his son, Duane, used country music and documentary-style filmmaking to tell the story of Canada’s West. Cultural and historical in nature, the show went on the road to places not often seen by outsiders. Some of the subjects: the Riel Rebellion, Lower Fort Garry, buffalo herds in Elk Island Park, and the 1914 mine explosion in Hillcrest. The show was produced and directed by Jack Emack.[see Red River Jamboree, the Stu Davis Show]
