Aired Thursday evenings, for 13 weeks, from July to October 1968.
This program was a boost to vacationers in Canada because it featured travel films about destinations from coast to coast. The travelogues were produced by the National Film Board of Canada and two films were featured each week.
Home Movies: The Great Canadian Film Caper
Aired Wednesday evenings during the summer of 1966.
Rosalind Farber, who produced Cine Club, created this short series of programs specifically about Canadian film-making. Each program looked at a particular style of movie making while offering new ideas in the medium from experimental artists such as Michael Snow. John Gould was the host.
Program one: documentaries featuring Donald Brittain, Beryl Fox and Richard Ballentine.
Program two: feature films with Don Owen, Claude Jutra, Larry Kent, David Secter, and Irvin Kershner.
Program three: animation with Grant Munro, Gerald Potterton and independent works by Michael Snow, Gerald Budner and Robert Verrall
Program four: a short history of the Canadian film industry going back to 1897.
