Aired Sunday nights, following drama, from July 3 to September 25, 1960
Ten minutes doesn’t seem like much time to produce anything relevant, but this program with actor Barry Morse was impressive. Each Sunday after the 50-minute CBC drama, Morse filled the segment with readings, lectures, monologues and discussions about the history of theatre. Subjects included the history of Canadian theatre, Gilbert and Sullivan’s first meeting, Victorian melodrama and Charles Dickens. Morse had the creative freedom and talent, to present the subjects as he saw fit. Producer: Peter Francis.
