An unsuccessful precursor to Jeanne Beker’s sparkling Fashion TV series on CITY, Wild Whirl of Fashion only lasted one season as a daytime strip before spinning into the ground. It played in 1970-71 as a five-day-a-week strip on CTV, being delivered to stations 8:30-9:00am but playing all over the daytime schedules in each market.
The series had a beauty salon setting, and was hosted by stylist David Anson. It was produced by Rai Purdy at the studios of CTV affiliate BCTV in Burnaby, B.C. Purdy had moved west after a stint at CFTO Toronto getting the new private station on the air in January 1961.
