It is not certain when CHMK-FM signed on the air but CRTC records show the station’s licence was renewed in 1988.
1991
On October 7, the CRTC approved the application by Corporation Radio Attikamek de Manawan (Manawan Kidotakan Inc.) to change CHMK’s frequency from 95.1 MHz to 93.1 MHz, to increase effective radiated power from 0.6 watts to 40 watts, and to relocate the transmitter to a site located 0.6 kilometres to the northwest of Manouane.
