On January 11, the CRTC renewed CFCQ-FM’s licence until September 30, 1985.
1986
After being off the air for some 18 months, CFCQ returned to the air on March 16. The station was given CRTC permission to revise programming. CFCQ-FM would remain community oriented, with reduced educational content.
CFCQ moved its studios from Trois-Rivières to Cap-de-la-Madeleine without CRTC approval.
1987
On March 20, for a long list of reasons, the CRTC denied Téléduc Inc’s. application to renew the licence for CFCQ-FM. The station was ordered to leave the air by March 31, the date its licence was to expire. The station had repeatedly failed to meet many of its programming commitments, had gone off the air for 18 months, delegated control of management and programming, and relocated the studios without approval.
