On October 5, the CRTC approved an application by Cameron Bell Consultancy Ltd. for a low-power English-language FM radio station. The applicant proposed an information service that would provide a voice for the Squamish area tourist industry to inform travellers of the variety of attractions. Programming would consist of a recorded 25 minute programming loop promoting attractions, festivals and events in Squamish and immediate areas. The service would operate on a year-round basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The licence would expire August 31, 2008. As proposed, the station would operate on 88.1 MHz, channel 201LP, with an effective radiated power of 49.3 watts.

2007
The CRTC approved the change in the ownership of Cameron Bell Consultancy Ltd. through the transfer of the shares of CBELL held by Guest Holdings Ltd., representing 35% of the voting interest of CBELL, to 630394 B.C. Ltd., a corporation wholly owned by Gowan T. Guest.
2013
On November 21, the CRTC issued an exemption order for low-power radio stations that provided tourist information. It came into effect immediately. Licensees of radio stations that considered their operations to be eligible for exemption under the order could file a simple statement asking that the Commission revoke their licences.
