On November 29, Spirit Broadcasting, on behalf of a company to be incorporated, was granted a new FM station at Lethbridge. The station would operate 24 hours a day,  broadcasting Christian music, on 97.1 MHz with an effective radiated power of 50 watts.

CJTS-FM signed on the air December 14. Studios and offices were at #508B 5th Avenue South.

2006

On August 2, Golden West Broadcasting Ltd. was given permission to acquire CJTS-FM from Spirit Broadcasting Ltd. (Terry Robert Fleming). CJTS was also authorized to change frequency from 97.1 to 98.1 MHz, increase effective radiated power from 50 watts to 20,000 watts, increase antenna height (to 174.3 metres) and relocate the transmitter.

On July 31, the CRTC approved Clear Sky Radio’s purchase of CKVN from Golden West Broadcasting. Clear Sky already owned 94.1 CJOC in Lethbridge. Clear Sky expected to take possession of CKVN September 1.

The Commission also approved the applicant’s request to delete conditions of licence relating to the station’s programming. This would allow CKVN-FM to move from a specialty (Christian music) to a Modern Rock music format. The format change was scheduled for September 1.

98.1 CKVN changed September 22 from a Christian to a Modern Rock format and rebranded as The Bridge. The call letters changed to CKBD.

2017

In January, CKBD changed format from Alternative Rock to Modern Adult Contemporary, keeping “The Bridge” branding.

2019

In June, CKBD was rebranded as 2day FM with a Hot AC/CHR format.
