An unusual show – and an ingeniously inexpensive piece of programming – that featured a night-time walk through Toronto streets with the camera providing the point-of-view. This show had a mesmeric quality about it, and was probably most viewed by insomniacs trying to get back to sleep. Only one walk was featured and was repeated incessantly during early morning broadcast hours on Global. Later, other programs were added in the same vein – Night Ride, showing a car ride through the streets of Toronto, as well as Night Music and Night Moves, depicting a variety of street scenes, with music. Broadcast: 1986-1993. Time slot: early mornings, usually between 3:00 and 5:00 am. Running time: 60 – 120 minutes
