In September 1970, Télé-Métropole (later to become TVA) launched a weekly Saturday evening date with its audience that would last six years, Le Ranch à Willie, starring the French country music singer, Willie Lamothe, always accompanied by his inseparable guitarist partner Bobby Hachey.
This popular program would be selected as the Best Variety Program at the Gala des artistes.
Every Saturday night, in addition to many well-known Quebec country artists, Willy would welcome various popular artists and always ensured that there was sufficient time to engage in an off-the-cuff chat with his good friend Doris Lussier, Père Gédéon.
