Le moment de vérité was a TV game show hosted by Patrice L’Écuyer that was first broadcast on September 22, 2007.
The game show was an adaptation of the Japanese concept Happy Family Plan, that was broadcast in several countries, including Great Britain under the name The Moment of Truth and Celebrities Under Pressure and in France as Défi de Famille.
Each week, three teams made up of members of a family, co-workers or friends, experienced their Moment de vérité by trying to meet their challenge before a studio audience. They had a whole week to train, witnessed by cameras from the program so that the TV viewers could see how they’d been preparing themselves. The challenges were diverse and were designed to test the teams’ physical or intellectual skills.
