JE (for “investigative journalism”) was an investigative journalism program that began broadcast over the TVA network in 1993.
With a team of two co-hosts and seven journalist-researchers, JE investigated cases that were submitted to them by the general public: frauds, abusive or stagnant legal procedures and dishonest companies or individuals. The program notably sought to help ordinary citizens resolve situations that were at a standstill or that overwhelmed them.
JE was initially hosted by Jocelyne Cazin and Gaétan Girouard. Following the latter’s suicide in 1999, Jocelyne Cazin continued hosting the program until 2001. Annie Gagnon and Michel Jean then took over as co-hosts.
