Caméra Café was a comedy series written by François Avard, whose initial broadcast date was September 16, 2002.
Caméra Café told the story of the daily lives of the employees of a Montreal branch of a big Toronto company, by way of a camera hidden in a coffee machine, installed there at the boss’ request. The building’s lounge was thus the only setting the viewer saw throughout the series (except for a very few other rare occasions) and the camera never moved. The characters in the series interacted amongst one another in a more or less realistic fashion, always getting mixed up in extraordinary situations.
