From 1966 (first broadcast on September 6, 1966) to 1977, Radio-Canada aired 414 episodes of Rue des pignons, one of the most popular series in the history of Quebec television.
This TV soap opera, directed by Louis Bédard, Bruno Paradis and Yvon Trudel, starred an array of well-known actors, among them Jean Duceppe, Rolland Bédard, Rolland D’Amour, Mia Riddez, Huguette Oligny, Robert Rivard, Bertrand Gagnon, Roland Chenail and Réjean Lefrançois.
