1999
On July 15, P.L.M. Broadcasting Ltd. received a licence to operate a low-power English and Native-language FM station at Restigouche (Listuguj). The new station would broadcast 126 hours of local programming per week (apx. 33% Micmac and 67%, English). The station would operate on the frequency 105.1 MHz, with an effective radiated power of 50 watts.

CFIC-FM began broadcasting.
The licensee name changed from P.L.M. Broadcasting Ltd. to the Micmac Historical Cultural Arts Society.
2006
On May 23, the Micmac Historical Cultural Art Society was given approval to increase CFIC-FM’s effective radiated power from 50 watts to an average ERP of 425 watts.
2012
On August 17, the CRTC administratively renewed the licence of CFIC-FM to August 31, 2013.
