1991
The station started operating on a closed circuit basis.
1996
On June 21, Réseau Radio Campus Laval was granted a licence for a French-language FM campus / community station at Sainte-Foy, operating on 94.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 50 watts. The station would serve the student body of Université Laval in Québec.
1997
CHYZ-FM signed on the air in January.
1999
CHYZ was granted a power increase from 50 to 239 watts, and a relocation of the antenna about 575 metres to the west of the existing site.
2003
A power increase to 6,000 watts was approved.
2007
On May 15 the CRTC renewed CHYZ-FM’s licence until August 31, 2014.
