1976
CHMO began broadcasting on February 29, operating on 1450 kHz with a power of 50 watts. CHMO was owned and operated by James Bay Broadcasting Corporation. Programming would be in English and Cree.
1977
CHMO was granted a change of antenna site.
1994
When CHMO’s licence was renewed it was noted the station broadcast 119 hours per week of local programming and one hour of non-local programming, of which 40 hours was in the Cree language and 80 hours in English.
2005
By this time, CHMO had studios in Moosonee with auxiliary studios in Moose Factory, and was on the air from 7 a.m. to midnight.
