CFKL began broadcasting.

1965

CFKL operated on a frequency of 1230 kHz and had a power of 250 watts.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation received approval to acquire CFKL-AM from Hollinger-Ungava Transport Ltd. which set the station up to bring radio service to the mining communities in northeastern Quebec.

Undated

In time CFKL became a rebroadcaster of Radio-Canada stations in larger centres. By 1986, the station was known as CBSI-2, a rebroadcaster of CBSI-FM Sept-Iles.
